This is a card I created when I was stamping at Cindee's house one day when we were using the Apple of My Eye stamp set. The funny thing is, we started off saying, "Let's create something with a Project Life card"… and this is what we ended up with!
Do you ever do that? Go off on a tangent once you started creating!?
We actually DID incorporate a Project Life card.. the polkadot piece in the background is a card from the Memories in the Making Project Life card set.. it is embossed "white on white" and I sponged Real Red onto the card. The white embossed polkadots resist the ink and stay white. It's like the Color Me Irresistible paper on page 142 of the annual catalog.. you can do the same color resist technique with that paper!
The stamp set we used on this cheery cherry card (LOL) is called Apple of My Eye and you can find it on pg 47 of the 2016 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog. The cherries, greeting, stem and leaves are all in that set. If you need really great leaves to go with any of your floral or fruit images, the leaves in this set are AMAZING.
There is a card sample on pg 47 of the Occasions catalog that we used as our inspiration. The 2" wide Whisper White tag is punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and then stamped with the cherries and greeting. The background is stamped repeatedly with one of the leaves in Old Olive which was stamped off first on scratch paper.
Everything is layered onto a Thick Whisper White piece of cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and folded as a top fold card.
