I created a hydrangea image with my Thoughtful Branches set, but you can also create a tree, pine trees, apple trees, and so many more amazing projects with this bundle!
How to Make a Window Front Card:
I wanted to create a different style card, so I decided to cut an opening in my card front using the Project Life by Stampin' UP! Cards & Labels framelit set.
- Start with a 4-1/4 x 11" top fold card
- Position the rectangle die in the front panel of the card, put it through the Big Shot to die cut the opening
- Add a piece of Window Sheet, approx. 4" x 5-1/4". I used Fast Fuse and the adhesive barely shows! yay!
- Use the rectangle cut out to die cut the Peekaboo Peach flower piece to conserve cardstock
- Add a contrasting piece of designer paper inside the card so that you have a fun pattern showing through the window
On my Window Front Card, I used Cucumber Crush cardstock to die cut the stem/leaves from the Thoughtful Branches framelits set, and then cut the flower portion in both Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach and layered them together.
I also stamped the leaf image on the Peekaboo Peach with Peekaboo Peach ink, then used my Wink of Stella to add glimmer to the top flower layer! So pretty!
I could tell there were several Thoughtful Branches greeting images that would fit in the label from the Project Life Cards & Labels framelit set.. here is a tip to check to see if your image will fit!
One last tip for you .. when adding intricate die cut pieces to your projects, use either the Fine-Tip glue pen or the Multipurpose glue sparingly!
