Copper is such a hot metallic accent for the fall and holidays, so I wanted to incorporate it into my Star of Light Christmas card idea for you today!
I die cut Island Indigo and Copper foil stars for this beautiful card, and layered them over the stamped "stardust swoosh" background stamp in a random pattern, and I love how it looks!
I stamped the little stardust swoosh stamp in Marina Mist right onto the embossed paper from the Fancy Frost package. Isn't it the perfect marriage?? I love it! The stars in the background with the Star of Light set and dies!
I used all these die cut pieces in my Star of Light Christmas card.. it seems easiest to use glue dots to attach each layer.
This pre-embossed Fancy Frost paper is GORGEOUS!!! look at all the gorgeous patterns you get in the 12×12 package!
See it on pg 37 in the 2016 Holiday catalog or HERE in my online store.
I cut it at 4" x 5-1/4" and layered it onto a top fold standard size 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Island Indigo card.
The Star of Light stamp set and framelit dies may be purchased in a 10% money-saving bundle. You can find them on page 9 in the Holiday catalog.
Above & Below: did you notice the many ways to layer the die cut pieces, add stars, add enamel shapes, add copper thread, etc., to create just slightly different looks?
2 Great Crafting Tips!
1. Grab your Copper Sharpie marker and color the gold or silver enamel shapes (ON SALE THIS WEEK!) to create really neat matching copper accents!
2. When you have little punch out or die cut pieces, keep them handy by putting them right onto the dots on a mini glue dot roll. They'll be ready to use and won't go flying off your crafting table!
As I mentioned above, the enamel shapes are on sale THIS WEEK, through Wed., Sept. 7th! See all the fun products on sale below or HERE online.

How stunning. Very clever to use your copper marker. I thought you used copper paper. This would make an excellent card for mass production.
Beautiful card, Patty. Can’t wait until my set arrives!
Hi Patty,
Isn’t that the most beautiful die set? It just all comes together to make the most gorgeous cards. Thank you, Patty for showing us another beautiful way to use this wonderful bundle set. I just keep seeing sets that I just must have. Enjoy the holiday weekend, and thank you again.
Best wishes,
