Stampin Up! Blog Candy Giveaway - repurposed Sephora bag decorated with Pop of Pink "gifts" with bows, by Patty Bennett. www.PattyStamps.com

As you saw in the video above, I had this cute striped bag from Sephora and I didn't want to toss it in the recycle bin, so I just covered the store logo with these cute "Pop of Pink" gifts!!

I cut some Pop of Pink paper (page 172 annual catalog, #141648) into 2" squares and 2" x 2-1/2" pieces and those were the "gift boxes" then used the Sunshine Wishes "flower" framelit die cut as the bow (page 194, #141489)!  Color palette: black, white, Melon Mambo, and gold.  The Gold Foil Sheets (pg 175, #132622) are an amazing compliment to the gold printed patterns in the Pop of Pink Paper Pack!!!

Supplies I used for my Stampin Up! Blog Candy Giveaway - repurposed Sephora bag decorated with Pop of Pink "gifts" with bows, by Patty Bennett. www.PattyStamps.com

I recreated the look of the gift bag with a card.  I folded a Melon Mambo 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of cardstock in 1/2 and then added the black and white striped piece from the Pop of Pink designer series paper pack, then added the "gifts" and bows just like I did on the bag!  (see the video for all the details).

  103. Why didn’t I think of that? Great idea for packaging Hostess gifts for parties. I have my own “Prize Patrol” when the ladies come they pick out two squares of Stampin’ Up! card stock. I punch them out with my 1″ square punch. ( I also use circles.) One they drop in the prize patrol jar and the other they use to identify their color. This does two things, helps them learn our colors and they enjoy the little breaks it creates. Your lovely package of goodies will go to my ladies “Prize Patrol”. You always have such wonderful ideas that you share. When I get stumped I always check out what you are doing. Thank you.

Thanks for the idea to re-purpose bags. I usually just take them to the bookstore filled with books that I am returning. I like your idea better.
My favorite DSP this time is the Moroccan set. I am not really sure what draws me in. It’s probably the color palette more than anything else.

Thanks for your inspiration! I’ve been telling myself I don’t really need the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits but I LOVE how you created the bow with it, Genius! As for the paper I’m loving the Fancy Frost Specialty DSP. I can leave it as is for some subtle shimmer or sponge it or brayer it any color I want! Such an easy wow!

  123. Patty–I love the repurposed bag and the cute card that you made to go with it. The Pop Of Pink DSP with the black and white are stunning. My current favorite designer series paper is the Candy Cane Lane Paper out of the holiday catalog. It is so versatile. Not only will it be used to make cute Christmas Cards, but the peppermint heart papers will be great to use for Valentine’s Day or a winter anniversary or wedding card. The cute little gingerbread house paper will be also good for scrapbooking, cards, as well as decorations and for a “welcome to your new home card”. The striped or speckled papers combine Real Red, Crumb Cake and Whisper White making them good for all kinds of cards, not just Christmas Cards. They will also be excellent to use for masculine cards. Enjoy your blog and your Facebook posts.
