Easy Christmas Cards with Cable Knit Embossing Folder

The Cable Knit Embossing Folder…. HOT Seller is all I have to say!!  I can tell that you love it as much as the VERY popular Woodland Embossing Folder!!!  I love the pretty background it creates for these 2 Christmas Cards!

As you can see in the background of both of these lovely Christmas Card Ideas, I've used the Stampin' UP! Cable Knit embossing folder to bring texture and warmth to both cards!

Purchase your Cable Knit Embossing Folder HERE in my online store, or, click any of the product photos at the bottom of this blog post to order any of the projects used in these Christmas Cards.

This Christmas card features the Cable Knit embossing folder in the background, embossed on Real Red cardstock.. isn't it so festive!?   I added 2 strips of paper from the Presents & Pinecones designer series paper pack on the left side, and then a 2" x 4" tag on the front of the card, punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  The tag is embellished with a stamp from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set, and some strips of Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape, as well as stamped/punched holly and berries.  The Holly is stamped using the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set, then punched with the coordinating Holly Berry Builder punch.

It's just a great crisp, clean red and green (hey that rhymes!) fun Christmas card!!

Stampin' Tip:  When adhering an embossed piece of cardstock to your project, use either Tombo Multipurpose Glue, or Fast Fuse (see this video for tips).

Above, I used regular Whisper White cardstock in the Cable Knit embossing folder for the background then embellished with a strip of Candy Cane Lane paper and a scallop of Real Red (see THIS POST for info on punching a quick scallop border).

I stamped on the die cut circle with the WAtercolor Words stamp set, and then layered that onto a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles framelits and the Presents & Pinecones designer paper.

Both of these Christmas cards feature the Emerald Envy ribbon from page 20 of the 2016 Holiday catalog.
