The Stampin' Up! Bike Ride stamp set and framelit bundle is AMAZING and sooo much fun to play with! I created this cute patriotic / 4th of July card idea after die cutting lots of fun bike and accessory pieces with this bundle!
You can see this darling Bike Ride bundle (stamp set & framelits) on page 20 of the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog, or here in my online Stampin' UP! store.
I started by stamping and die cutting all of the pieces in this set, including the bike, wheels, baskets, doggie, flowers, apples, books, and all the other little accessory pieces. I did stamp the bike frame and wheels on Glossy Cardstock.. it gives such a great solid image!
Then I created a background for my card by applying embossing paste (mixed with glitter) onto a vanilla 4"x5-1/4" panel, and adding a strip of Pick a Pattern Washi tape as the "road". I adhered the brick panel to a folded Real Red card. For more info on applying the embossing paste brick background to your card click to watch my free Embossing Paste video tutorial.
Step 1: stamp Bike Ride images
Step 2: color in images with makers, or, stamp with the coordinating stamps as I did here
Step 3: die cut with matching Bike Ride framelit dies in the Big Shot
Step 4: assemble pieces on your card
Step 5: store extra pieces in little containers for future use
Enamel shapes, or White Perfect Accents (#138416, pg 196) are so fun when colored with a Black Sharpie pen – they make the perfect sunflower center accent or the best addition to the center of the bike wheels!
This is really seriously just WAY too much fun!!! You can see this darling bundle (stamp set & framelits) on page 20 of the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog, or here in my online Stampin' UP! store.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals under the bike frame is a great way to give this card fun depth, dimension and interest!
Above is a different version of the same card, and I added a "hello friend" greeting banner.
Special Notes:
- be sure to add the cute handle streamers.. they are die cuts in the framelit set. I put one drop of fine-tip glue on the handles and added the streamers… so cute! I mean SERIOUSLY so cute!
- for fun glossy accents, color some White Perfect Accents with a Black Sharpie marker and add to the sunflower centers and on the center of the wheels!
