Thank you for your super kind comments about my Year of Cheer Holiday Catalog product review and projects that I've been sharing with you this week!!! Perhaps my favorite projects in this collection are the Ghirardelli Chocolate Holiday Gift Ideas featuring candy wrapped in the Year of Cheer specialty foil paper!!!
I'm highlighting 3 different ideas for you today, each featuring Ghirardelli chocolate!!!
Above: here are 6 Ghirardelli chocolates, each wrapped up in a scrap of Year of Cheer paper, and neatly snuggled into the new Clear Acetate Gift Box from Stampin' UP! You'll be able to view the details of these great clear gift boxes on page 13 of the 2017 Holiday Catalog, or HERE in my online store.
I decorated my box with a foil snowflake, stamped stitched shape circle (Snowflake Sentiment set, pg 35), Silver Tinsel (pg 21), Banners punched from Year of Cheer paper (Banner Triple punch), and Year of Cheer embellishments (pg 37). You might ask why I stamped with Cajun Craze ink? I think it looks great with the Copper paper and accents!
The Year of Cheer paper, is easy to miss.. check out the bottom of page 37 to see it. I am telling you.. EVERY person I've shown these projects to has said, "Wait, where is that paper??"… I do think it's easy to overlook it in the catalog! (see it HERE online).
Below: this is what the back looks like. If you wrap the Champagne foil belly band around and put the seam under the embellishment in the front, you don't see the seam on the back.
You can see here that the 6 medium size Ghirardelli chocolates fit PERFECTLY into the clear acetate gift box!!!!
See it in my YouTube Video HERE!

Below: I had 4 Ghirardelli candy pieces left over, so I wrapped each one with Year of Cheer paper, put a glue dot in between each one, stacked them up, and tied them up with some Silver edged ribbon!! how fun! How quick! How Cute! 🙂
Year of Cheer paper is on the bottom of page 37 (2017 Holiday catalog), or see it HERE online.
My 3rd Ghirardelli candy holiday gift idea for you today is simply to take a large chocolate bar and wrap the Year of Cheer paper around it, and add an embellishment. I used a Silver Foil Snowflake, and punched/die cut elements from the Year of Cheer paper and Whisper White paper. The for you stamp is found in the annual catalog in the Birthday Blooms stamp set #140655 / 140658
See this project in my video HERE.
More supplies I used on these projects today are shown below:

What a fun discovery that 6 squares fit perfectly into the acetate boxes! I love giving ghiradelli squares as gifts, and this will be a fun new way to gift a few without breaking the bank. The little bundle of 4 squares is also the perfect little favor to hand out – and just by changing out the DSP used it could fit pretty much any occasion. Thanks so much for sharing all these gorgeous projects and their details – I can’t wait to see which suite you highlight next!!
Great yummy projects! I will be CASEing them all most likely. For some reason though I really like the 4 stacked up and all decked out. My mailman will be really excited for some more treats. It has been too hot and they would melt! I have such a craving for chocolate all of a sudden!
