One of the holiday gift giving ideas I featured in my Year of Cheer suite product review video yesterday was this Acetate gift box with set of 4 cards and envelopes inside. The cards feature gold, silver, copper and champagne foil paper, accents and embellishments as well as other fun products from the Stampin' Up! 2017 Holiday catalog.
These wonderful Acetate boxes are NEW in the Holiday catalog, and you might laugh at this, but they are hard to see.. not just because they are clear (LOL), but because there are SO many new products in this catalog, and there is just so much to grab your attention that you literally might MISS THEM!! They are shown on the middle of page 13 in the catalog, #144628, or click HERE to see them in my online store.
Now, here is the exciting part.. you get 10 in the package for only $6.50!! whohooo!!

As you can see in this blog post and on my video yesterday, I put a set of 4 cards with envelopes in my box. You could probably fit 5 or 6 if you had very few embellishments, but I think 4 is a really comfortable number, AND it makes a GREAT gift!!
I featured the Year of Cheer specialty paper (shown below) on each card.
While I did concentrate most of my Year of Cheer projects toward Christmas and the Holiday season, these products are not just for the holidays… check out the wedding (or anniversary) card I created with these products below!
I decided to try out something fun with the Gold Foil Snowflake.. I punched a circle out of the center of the snowflake and added it to a Very Vanilla stitched shape framelit circle, then attached the outer ring of the snowflake to the back of the die cut circle… nobody will ever know.. oh .. well, just those of you reading this 🙂
The wedding card above features the Silver Foil Paper as the card base, and what I call the "fireworks" pattern of Year of Cheer paper.
The Season's Greetings card below features the Gold Foil Paper for the card base and gold plaid pattern from the Year of Cheer paper package. Both cards feature a gold foil snowflake, Very Vanilla Stitched Shape die cut circle, and stamped images from the Cheers to the Years stamp set.
All products are available in my online store.. scroll to the bottom of this post to click on any product image and go right to my store to make your purchase.
Above, I also added these details to this Season's Greetings Card:
- Year of Cheer Washi Tape
- Year of Cheer gold embellishment
- Metallic enamel shapes (gold stars)
- 3/8" Metallic gold edge ribbon
Below is a close up of the decorated Acetate box.

Oh my word – those cards turned out GORGEOUS!!! I love how you used the metallic foil papers as the card base, I agree that makes them over-the-top special. Those center medallion pieces make very pretty ornaments as well, I love that picture you shared just showing those pieces before mounting them on the cards. I hope the recipient of this treasure of a gift really appreciates it!! If it were me, I would hang up all the cards and admire them forever 😀
