This French horn die cut from the Stampin' UP! Musical Season bundle immediately took me back to Jr. High when I played the clarinet… oh my… I wasn't that good, but I was in the band and orchestra, and vividly remember playing "The Entertainer" at my Jr. High graduation reception… WHY do I remember that so vividly? I don't know!! LOL
Anyway.. this Musical Season bundle would make a great card for anyone musical, or anyone who loves classical holiday images such as the stamps in this set, the die cut images, or the beautiful Merry Music designer paper! All supplies can be found in the 2017 Holiday catalog, or in my online store here.
I die cut the french horn with the Gold Foil paper from Stampin' UP! and added a gold metallic foil doily and gold enamel shapes to bring in a little more gold on these cards. The mini dimensionals are PERFECT for adding to the back of the French horn before adding to the card!
Holiday Catalog paper: Each card also features the Merry Music paper (pg 13, #144623). On some cards, I added the gold/white plaid from the Year of Cheer paper (pg 37, #144640), and on others I used the green/black plaid paper from the Merry Little Christmas pack (pg 12, #144621). Couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I made a bunch of both.
I stamped Peace Joy Love in Real Red on Very Vanilla cardstock as the greeting for this card. I also stamped onto the Merry Music with the holly leaf sprig and the harp in Pear Pizzazz ink and Soft Suede ink.
