These darling 4×4 Butterfly Gala cards were another one of the Make & Take projects we created at our demonstrator event this weekend!!
I must say… this post was ready to go about a month ago, and now that the event is here, several of these Stampin’ UP! products are already on backorder! The Sale-a-Bration organdy ribbon, the butterfly punch and the Gingham Gala paper are on backorder status!! But you can click HERE to be notified when the Butterfly Duet punch is in stock.
I was very excited to see that the Butterfly Duet Punch will punch out dozens (hundreds!!??) of butterflies in the pack of Botanical Butterfly designer paper (a free gift choice during Sale-a-Bration)!! For our cards, I have cut the Botanical Butterfly sheet shown below into strips, and demonstrators have their choice of fussy cutting the entire butterfly out with Paper Snips, or, using the Butterfly Duet punch and punching a portion of the butterfly, as shown on these card ideas today.

I think it’s just BRILLIANT that Stampin’ Up! coordinated the colors of the Botanical Butterfly paper, the Gingham Gala paper, the Gingham Gala sequins and the Sale-a-Bration Organdy ribbon pack all with the same 5 colors!!! It made prepping the cardmaking supplies for this project super easy and fun!

Each card has a folded Thick Whisper White Cardbase (4-1/4″ square) with a 4″ square of Botanical Butterfly paper, a 3-1/4″ square of color coordinated cardstock, and a 3″ square of Gingham Gala paper! The ribbon and sequins match the color scheme for each card. The cute die cut label with iridescent border is from the Sweet Pins & Tags pack, pg 15 in the Occasions catalog, #148571.

Awesome Stampin’ UP! Spring Color Combo featured in the Gingham Gala paper stack!
You can use the Butterfly Duet punch to punch out the butterflies in the Botanical Butterfly Sale-a-Bration paper, even though they are not the same size! Or, use Paper Snips and fussy cut the entire butterfly image.
You can see all of these supplies, details and close up photos in my online Stampin’ UP! store.. simply click the product photos at the bottom of this post!
