I borrowed the idea for this “Life is Grand” hello card from Stampin’ UP! One of the great things about being a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator is the extra ideas and training provided to us in the quarterly Stampin’ Success magazine as well as weekly training emails. This idea to fussy cut the vellum leaves from the Floral Romance designer paper was in the Stampin’ Success magazine last month!
Fussy Cut the Vellum with Paper Snips!
The vellum paper is in the Floral Romance specialty designer series paper pack, pg 11 in the 2019 Occasions catalog (#148586). I used my Paper Snips to cut out several leaves and place them around the Stitched Shape Oval die cut.
I created this card when stamping with Cindee one day.. we were totally inspired once we started using this Floral Romance paper! It’s gorgeous! We also paired it with the Frosted Flowers embellishments (#148782), pg 11 in the Occasions catalog.

After Stamping the hello greeting from the Life is Grand stamp set on a Stitched Shape Oval, we set the oval on the 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of woodgrain paper (also from the Floral Romance pack) and did our best to stamp some leaves around the oval, using the “All That You Are” set. Then we layered the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals and tucked the pieces of vellum leaves under the raised oval.

Stampin’ UP! Color Combo
I love the combo of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. So classic! The finishing touch was some Old Olive Linen Thread (added with a Glue Dot).. .this Linen Thread is a MUST HAVE! #148811, pg 39 in the Occasions catalog.
