Florentine Lattice Background for Petal Palette cards

I really wanted to try a garden lattice effect with the Florentine Thinlit die, so I die cut it in Whisper White cardstock and layered it over 2 different patterns from the Garden Impressions designer paper from Stampin’ Up!.  I added watercolor die cut roses from the Petal Palette stamp set – they look like the climbing roses on a trellis in my garden!  (I just noticed that the Florentine die is on LOW inventory... don’t delay if you want to order one!)

The flowers are stamped with StazOn ink onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Stampin’ UP! ink.  I colored them with a watercolor brush dipped onto a clear block that I smooshed into the following ink pad colors: Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, Call my Clover, Granny Apple Green and Cajun Craze.

I experimented with several different patterns from the Garden Impressions designer 6×6 paper stack behind the lattice Florentine die cut piece and the 2 in my blog post today are my 2 favorites.

I love the sentiment above, as I feel it’s perfect for this card.  It’s stamped in Calypso Coral ink on a Stitched Circle die cut and it’s from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  The Base card is Mango Melody, because I thought it looked nice with the Garden Impressions designer paper.

Find the Florentine Thinlit die cut in my online Stampin’ Up! store here.  You can die cut the flowers with the Petals and More Thinlit dies, #145655

For the Thank you From the Heart sentiment above, I combined 2 stamps from the Petal Palette set onto one die cut tag (from the Humming Along framelits) and added an Epoxy Heart that I colored with my Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend marker.  The base card is Call Me Clover cardstock.
