Vibrant Vases and Petal Promenade Cards

Did you stock up on the Petal Promenade designer paper from Stampin’ Up! while it was a free gift choice during Sale-a-Bration? If so, you will be all set for the background of these pretty floral notecards featuring the Vibrant Vases stamp set!

I saw this beautiful combo of the Petal Promenade designer paper and the Vibrant Vases stamp set when one of my Luv 2 Stamp Group team members, Jen Lynn, posted a similar idea to our team facebook group. I just loved this combo!! I stamped the vase in Mossy Meadow and the flowers in Calypso Coral. The Stitched white oval matted with a Layering Oval Calypso Coral die cut really makes the focal point pop!

The Thanks a Bunch sentiment was perfect for these cards. It’s in the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. You’ll find the Vibrant Vases set here, and the Petal Promenade paper here. I tried this card with a Thick Whisper White card base, a Calypso Coral card base and a Grapefruit Grove card base. I ended up liking the white the best. What do you think?

2 TIPS for Square Cards!

When creating square cards, cut your designer paper to 4″ x 4″ and your base card to 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and score/fold it in 1/2 for a 4-1/4″ square card. This will maximize your 12×12 designer paper and allow you to create 9 cards from one sheet!

Secondly, when mailing 4×4 (or 4-1/4″ square) cards, I always use the regular medium A2 size envelopes here. If you mail a square envelope in the US it costs more in postage. So I just put it in a regular envelope.

I stamped the flower outline and the solid part (stamp at the top of the photo) in Calypso Coral right on the Stitched Shape oval Whisper White die cut. I Stamped the vases in Mossy Meadow on a scrap and punched them out with the Vases Builder Punch.
