Feels Like Frost Christmas Card Ideas

Feels Like Frost designer paper Christmas Card Idea featuring Stampin' UP! Holiday catalog products and Christmas Layers dies, by Patty Bennett www.PattyStamps.com

Yesterday I shared a tip with you for die cutting the Christmas Layers dies.  Today I am sharing the cards I made with the snowflake dies and the Feels Like Frost paper.  I created several quick and easy Christmas cards with this gorgeous photo-realistic designer paper and the Silver Foil Sheets snowflake die cut pieces.

As you can see, I used both the die that cut out perfectly, and the die that left the pieces in the snowflake design.  I really did like them both, and didn’t want to waste one.  But if you missed the tip for die cutting these intricate dies, CLICK HERE to see my post yesterday!

The base card is the Thick Whisper White Stampin’ Up! note card, and I cut the Feels Like Frost designer paper to 3″ x 5″.  I used my new Shimmery Crystal Effects #150892 to make dots of shimmery fun on the designer paper. I used the extra 1″ strip from the 6×6 Feels Like Frost sheet (#150444) behind the greeting, and on top of the snowflake die cut pieces.  The snow flakes are die cut from the Silver Foil paper #132178.  Joy to the World is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set #150513 stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a die cut tag from the Stitched Labels die set, #146828

  1. Hi, I have been using the DIE Cut Up for about 8 months and still using the same plates! The sandwich is: Big shot platform, thin die adapter, nice plate, card stock w/ die facing upward, & cover plate. I align the die on cardstock and use washi tape to hold the die in place. Flip over so the cutting die is facing upward. I don’t use the magnet plate for this moves the die around. My plate is flat & the cutting plate has a small bow. This really saves on buying more plates!
