Stampin Up Laser-cut card ideas

As you are reading this, I’ll be enjoying a weekend away stamping with 65 of my Stampin’ Up! friends!! While at Amy’s Vintage Valentine Retreat this weekend, I’ll be demonstrating some ideas for using these wonderful Stampin’ Up! Laser-cut cards!

I’ll be sharing more of the cards from my presentation over the coming week.  Today I wanted to highlight the difference between adding a light or a dark liner inside the card.  It’s amazing what a dramatic difference it makes when you add a dark liner or insert inside the laser-cut card!!   I applied a piece of Basic Gray cardstock using Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue  to the back side of the laser-cut card front for this Magnolia card.  Laser-cut cards available online here.

I die cut the magnolias out of the Magnolia Lane designer paper using the Magnolia Memory dies

Thanks was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto a Very Vanilla die cut from the Wild Rose die set and added to the front of the card, then I layered the die cut magnolias on top and tucked behind the die cut.  Thanks is from the Seriously the Best stamp set.

Dark vs. Light

To show a contrast and another way to use the Laser-cut cards, this card uses a piece of Perennial Essence designer paper behind the laser-cut card front.  This gives a really soft effect.   I added a die cut butterfly (from Springtime Impressions dies) to the card.  It was die cut from Watercolor paper, colored with Brusho or Pigment Sprinkles, and then dipped into a versamark pad and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The Blushing Bride swirly circle, and the sentiment label are from the Painted Labels dies, and the thinking of you sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy using the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
