Wow.. this was so easy!! I used the Ornate Borders Dies, and die cut a stencil, then used my sponge daubers to add color to the flowers and leaves!!
Use an oversized cardstock scrap (mine was about 3-1/2″ x 8-1/2″) to die cut the flower border die shown above from the Ornate Borders Die set #152724, then use it as a stencil to add color to your cardstock using Stampin’ Up! Sponge Daubers and ink pads! These dies are SO popular that they are already in backorder status, but you can add them to your order now and get on the list, so that they’ll be shipped as soon as they come in (estimated date as of now: May 4, 2020).
After creating 3 stenciled/sponged flower pieces, I grabbed my Brights 6×6 paper stack and pulled out 3 of the gingham patterned sheets in Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green to add to my Thick Whisper White Card Bases.
Make your own Stencil:
Use any colors you love. I used Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Call me Clover and Poppy Parade. All color combos are shown at the bottom of this post. All of these Stampin’ Up! cardmaking supplies are available HERE in my online store, or by clicking any of the product photos at the bottom of this post.
Tip: I cut my stenciled strips after I sponged the color, then die cut fancy borders with the eyelet border dies in the same Ornate Borders dies set, using Granny Apple Green and Whisper White cardstock.
Each card is also embellished with a fun stamped greeting and ribbon. The Bermuda Bay gingham card is embellished with some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon that I colored with my Stampin’ Blends marker.
I LOVE this birthday greeting.. it felt perfect for this card. Find it in the Pocketful of Happiness set here.
The thanks ever so much stamp is also found in the Pocketful of Happiness set here. It is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on a die cut circle from the Stitched Labels dies #146828, and I used some 1/4″ Mini Striped Bermuda Bay ribbon to embellish the card.

Color Combos:
Above & Below are the color combos I used for these cheery stenciled flowers and leaves. I love them!
The punched Leaf in Granny Apple Green cardstock and the Glitter Enamel Dots were the PERFECT finishing touches for my cards!
