Colored Cottage Flower Die with Stampin' Blends markers

Above & Below: when die cutting the delicate detailed flowers in this Cottage Rose bundle, you’ll want to add Adhesive Sheets to the back of the cardstock first, and then to get green stems and colored flowers, I like to color them with my Stampin’ Blends.

Die Cutting Tip:

The flower from the Cottage Rose set shown below does not have an individual die, but you can use the die shown below to cut out that image.

Masking Paper Tip:

I was trying to figure out the best way to color the flower with Blending Brushes (you know, the ink kind of spreads beyond the image), and not get the ink on the leaves.  So, I stamped the image onto Masking Paper, cut out the leaf portion and COVERED the leaves (see photo on LEFT below).  I used the Blending Brush and ink to color the flower, pulled away the masking paper and colored the leaves with Stampin’ Blends (see photo on RIGHT below).

After layering all the gorgeous flowers and leaves together, I finished my card with the new Petal Pink polyester ribbon, and the Petal Pink Solid Faceted Gems.

  4. Good afternoon Patty
What would the measurements be if you were making a larger card 10″ x 7″ scored at 5″? Would this even be possible? Please let me know And also I would be afraid it would not fit in the larger envelopes.
    Thank you

  7. Absolutely love this clever design! I noticed that you omitted the white cardstock as well as the size for the scalloped piece {for those of us without the Scalloped Contour die set. I’m guessing 3×4 1/4, but I’m not great at estimating layering sizes. Can you verify or correct it? Thank you so much for this wonderful card!
