Looking for an easy card design? Especially if you are making lots of cards this holiday season? This is a simple card featuring the In The Pines bundle and the red and green foil, paired with Tis the Season designer paper, all from the Stampin’ UP! July-Dec (Holiday) mini catalog!
Card above: Features both the red and green foil, self adhesive backed Snowflake Sequins, Red Sheer ribbon, and ‘Tis the Season designer paper.
Card below: The beautiful green foil leaves tucked behind the oval are found in the Poinsettia Dies. The flocked vellum is from the Plush Poinsettia paper pack.
Measurements for this card design:
Base Card: 4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold in 1/2, then cut 1-1/4″ off the front flap
Inside layer: 4″x5-1/4″
Front Layer: 4×4 designer paper or Plush Poinsettia flocked paper
Stitched Shape die oval matted with Layering Oval scallop
Options: add a 1″x4″ strip of designer paper as shown above, or add ribbon, or double mat the 4×4 front piece.
Above: In the Pines dies can be die cut right out of the center of the Stitched Shape oval!
Below: the green foil die cut tree is glued on top of the stitched oval die cut and is embellished with the red rhinestones from the Wonderful Gems pack.
The Red and Green Foil paper is gorgeous and can be used together on the same project, as shown here, or use the red for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, 4th of July and more!

I tried several different embellishments on the Christmas tree. Below I used the All the Trimmings red embellishments.

Also, on the card below, the tree is die cut right into the stitched oval, and the green foil scalloped oval shows through the die cut oval!! so pretty! See them on THIS VIDEO.

Gorgeous cards! One question, how would someone stand it up to display?
Thank you!! You’d need to lean it on your mantel or clip it to a Christmas Card display.. this type doesn’t stand on its own.
