Side Fold Basket of Blooms Card Idea

You might remember the Side Fold Basket of Blooms card and video from a couple weeks ago (HERE)… I enjoyed it so much, that for this card I copied my own idea and recreated this side fold idea with the same stamp set and punch, but with a different orientation, different colors and a fun tip for you for the ribbon!

During the video, I also shared the fabulous tip with you for notching the card with a punch, to allow the ribbon to stay in place on the spine of this fun fold card.  I used the Tailored Tag punch – it was just the first one I grabbed, but I’m sure you will find that several of your punches will also work for this tip.

As shown with the previous Basket of Blooms card, I stamped the pot with Cinnamon Cider ink and also colored it with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends for that pretty no line watercolor look.  All the flowers are stamped and punched (or fussy cut) using Calypso Coral ink.

The Small Bloom punch is really perfect for punching out the flowers in the Basket of Blooms set.  You could also fussy cut them if you prefer.

The greeting on this set is from the Autumn Greetings set, stamped onto a die cut from the Tasteful Labels dies.

  1. Hi Patty – Love this fun fold, one of my favorites! After seeing your previous post, I created a “side fold” card (like today’s post). To attach the ribbon instead of notching the side panel, I wrapped it around and adhered it to the side panel before glueing the side panel. Easy peasy. Thank you for sharing your creativity and for the daily inspiration. Your blog and morning coffee go well together. Happy stamping.
