The Stampin’ UP! Dove of Hope bundle is gorgeous. Simple. Elegant. Easy to Use. I hope you will enjoy these easy Christmas card ideas featuring this great bundle.
The design idea for these cards was inspired from an online class taught by Laurie and Cindee. I changed the designs just a little bit and added some extras like the die cut wings above. In addition to the Whisper White detailed die cut wings, I also cut the solid wings with some designer paper from the Magic in this Night paper. They create a nice shadow or detailed effect when layered on the card.
One of my favorite greetings in the Stampin’ Up! July-December (Holiday) catalog this year is Peace Joy Love. It just seems to totally sum up all the holiday sentiments! I stamped it in Pretty Peacock ink on a die cut label from the Ornate Frames dies.
Dove of Hope Bundle available HERE in my online store.
Each Dove of Hope card features a Pretty Peacock base folded card with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Pretty Peacock layer on top. The top layer is sponged with Pretty Peacock ink, and splattered with some Frost White Shimmer Paint.
The Iridescent blue pearls are the perfect embellishment for these Christmas cards.

Simply beautiful card! How did you get the wings so smooth on the back wing? What designer paper did you use?
So glad you liked it!! Here is the info in the post: In addition to the Whisper White detailed die cut wings, I also cut the solid wings with some designer paper from the Magic in this Night paper. They create a nice shadow or detailed effect when layered on the card.
Good morning Patty,
I love this bundle and going to make some cards with it this weekend…. I love your card…..I’ve been making lots of Christmas cards lately because I got a late start…..I love the DSP you used … I don’t have that so I have to improvise…….This would also be good for sympathy cards…A very versatile set…..
Thanks Mary Ann!
So beautiful and love the colors. How do you “splatter the shimmer paint without making a mess or having globs and yes I am so far behind I have this set and need to get making cards…just wish I had more time..this work thing really gets in the way Thank you for this inspiration
Hi Colleen, so the best way is to take a paint brush or the Water Painter (Aqua Painters) and dip it into the jar of shimmer paint, swoosh that onto a clear block right near the edge, then take the tip of the brush and “flick” the paint onto the project. It will just splatter a little.. keep going til you are happy.
Love your cards. Simple but stunning.
CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS TONIGHT ON ONSTAGE.
I THINK THIS DOVE IS GOING TO BE MY CHRISTMAS CARD THIS YEAR. WHITE ON WHITE.
KERRYDI
Thank you Kerry!!
