I love this little trick for creating interest on a handmade card! Cut 1″ off the front flap of the card and then decorate the inside so that you see that too, from the front! I added a die cut Stitched Shape circle to the front and 2 die cut Brilliant Wings butterflies! The greeting is from the Many Messages bundle.

After die cutting solid butterflies and detailed butterflies, layer them together as shown below – BEAUTIFUL!

Looking for a simple Butterfly card idea? Stamp the large Butterfly Brilliance stamp in one color on Basic White Cardstock. Add a die cut circle and die cut butterfly!! Optional: add some contrast with black and white paper (from the True Love pack) and a few pastel pearls! Note: I used Seaside Spray ink and cardstock below.. they are BOTH RETIRING IN COLORS, don’t miss them on your order!

Another product in this collection is the Natural Touch specialty paper that looks like wood veneer. It’s got texture and really great woodgrain patterns. #156825 online. I covered the entire Basic White cardfront on this card and added Butterfly Bijou paper and die cut butterflies.

After die cutting the butterflies, if you feel they’d benefit from a little extra color, just use your Blending Brushes and ink pads to add more color!!
