Have you had a chance to check out the Pansy Petals designer paper yet? Oh my goodness, it’s beautiful!! Since I had not had time to use the Pansy Patch stamps or Pansy dies yet, I decided to make cards with the designer paper first, then I’ll get out the rest of the suite soon!!
Pansy Petals designer paper #155807 available online!
After cutting out the pansy images from the designer paper (some die cut with the Pansy dies, some are fussy cut or cut with an e-cutter), I grouped them into 3 groups: yellow/oranges, pinks and purples. Then I created cards using those 3 color schemes. I layered them onto Scalloped Contours die cut pieces that I had embossed with the Checks & Dots embossing folder! Cute!
Awesome Discovery!
Do you remember when I showed you how to emboss cardstock vellum with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and color the back with Blending Brushes (see this post)… well, I made an awesome discovery!! I layered that vellum onto colored cardstock (Fresh Freesia below) and it looks AMAZING!
Below: Vellum background layered onto Fresh Freesia and Daffodil Delight cardstock bases!
This Happily Ever After card would make such a pretty wedding card!!! It’s tied up with Pale Papaya ribbon, and embellished with Elegant Faceted Gems colored with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends markers.
Or, go for a peachy look, and layer the colored embossed vellum on Pale Papaya cardstock! SO pretty! It goes so well with the peachy colored pansies!! The greetings on these cards are from the Many Happenings set and matching die! See these supplies below in the product photo section. Click ANY product to purchase it in my online store. Thank you for supporting my Stampin’ Up! business!
I love them all!! I embellished with the Bumblebee Trinkets and coordinating ribbon. What do you think about the sweet polkadot embossed die cuts?

Hi Patty Happy 26th Stampin Up Anniversary! I love the pansy petals paper the most because it brings back memories of Mothers Day when I was a young girl. We would visit my Grandmother on Mothers Day and my Father would give us money to purchase pansy’s for our Mother. Every year we would buy these flowers for her for as long as I can remember. When I was a Mother and started shopping for flowers for myself, I said to my Mom oh I love pansys so much dont you and she said no i dont like that flower. I said well we gave them to you every Mother’s Day why didnt you say something and we could have gotten you something else, her reply: because you gave them to me. I love receiving your emails and seeing each card design you make CONGRATS
Patty;
I came across your pansy petal design paper and was wondering if it is still available? If so, could you please let me know where to purchase it. I live on Vancouver Island in Canada.
