Do you Watch my Weekly Videos?

Scroll to the end to watch a SNEAK PEEK Holiday Catalog product video!!

Just thought I’d do a little catch up and share some thoughts today… I’ve been really dedicated to provide you with a free crafting, card making, product review or organizing video tutorial every Friday.  I made this commitment over a year ago, and have been able to create and share 60 videos with you over the last year!!!!

Sometimes I get stuck and don’t know what I’m going to share until the day before.  Other times, I have boxes of projects lined up to share on my live videos!  Often times I’ve had to rearrange the planned project if the product is unavailable from Stampin’ UP! at the time.

Recently, I thought, hmmm. I just wonder if I should keep doing these videos.  Like any major component of any full-time job, it’s a big time commitment.  Then, I happened to receive a few very kind emails out of the blue last week from viewers sharing how much they’ve learned from my videos and how much they enjoy them.. so… my friends, I’m still here with live videos on Friday, and the replay on my blog and YouTube channel shortly thereafter 🙂  I’m so glad you enjoy them, and thank you to everyone who leaves a kind comment!

THANK YOU for your kind words and comments during the Live or later on the replay!

  1. Your cards are awesome and I love getting ideas from your blog. I enjoy videos that are no longer than 30 minutes (shorter is better yet).

I really enjoy your teaching …, you could have been a school teacher. You are very clear and everything is easy to follow. Thank you for all you do.

  12. I’ve really enjoyed your videos and usually in each one there are many tips that you drop in passing that are very helpful. For example, the tip about using a bone folder to smooth out the ink on a new ink pad for the best stamped image (5/14/21 Expressions in Ink) !!!! That was a big one for me and I so appreciate the time you take making videos for all of us. Actually seeing you make a project makes it so much easier. Thanks Patty.

  20. I like a combination of both video and blog posts as sometimes it’s nice to hear you share why you’re doing something or what you found helpful for yourself when working on designing a project or even what we should avoid. The written format gives an easy reference to things maybe discussed/shared in your videos so there is no need to go back and try to find what was said in the videos. Thank you for providing such great content!

  36. I watch the videos on replay and I do learn something from them. However, it is a huge commitment, more than most people realize. I follow a few crafters who commit to twice a month and some only once per month. Because I follow several people, it gives me time to try what I’ve learned from each one. The ones I follow usually have a calendar that shows when they post, which is usually on the same date each month (or close to it). That’s just a suggestion to help you decide if you want to cut back a little. However, you explain your project very well and I enjoy learning from you. It’s OK to do what is best for you. Our stamping community is kind and wants what works best for you. Thank you for all of your efforts to help us.

  38. Dear Patty,
I am a “hobby” demo, and I love your blog, videos, tips, etc., because I don’t have a fraction of your creativity and I can not see how to translate stamps to a scene. I learn so much from you! I do not have classes, followers, etc., and I stamp for my own family and friends’ occasions. Thank you very much for allowing someone like me to be “in” on all your ideas!
    With great appreciation,

  39. I have subscribed to your blog probably not long after you began. Beyond any shadow of doubt, I have learned so much, have taken in so many tips and ideas, watched in amazement how you break down how a particular technique is done and samples of not only what you created live but others to see you have completed before. Your blog and videos are first rate, very organized, the love of paper crafting is so contagious as it is so apparent with your voice and what comes off of paper, ink and stamps that is so special. You share so much and go beyond the ordinary that you leave everyone with the enthusiasm to keep going, even if it hasn’t been the best of times. Thank you!

  54. I watch your videos after the live ones. You are my inspiration. I get so many ideas from you! I stamp for a hobby. my demonistrater teamed up with another demonstrater during Covid and we do Zoom. We do four cards a month and swaps. I use their ideas and yours. Right now our church is still on Facebook for services . we have an Out Reach Committee and they keep in touch with the congregation via cards, phone and visits. I make cards for my group of 10 and I’m also doing 10 extra for someone in our group and hand deliver them once a month! I have a lot of swaps from conventions and get togethers in my area. I also supply cards to the church secretary to send out when people can’t do it.

Congratulations on selling 2 million $ of Stampin Up supplies. That takes a lot of effort and I know creating different ideas for your videos takes a lot of time and planning on your part. I’m a former 1st grade teacher of 48 years so I know what planning and creating is all about! Do what is best for you! Think twice if you are . leaning toward giving up the videos. Think how much you are helping those who buy from you!
