Do you remember the fun Alcohol Ink backgrounds I was making a couple months ago? Remember I went kinda crazy and made a ton of them? 🙂 I loved the colors in this one and decided to just go with those colors for the flowers and leaves of my stamped images!! The flowers and leaves are from the gorgeous Positive Thoughts set and coordinating Nature’s Thoughts dies.
The Positive Thoughts stamp set images are inked with these Stampin’ UP! ink colors: Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce.
I used Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends markers to color randomly onto a piece of Vellum Cardstock. Spritz with Rubbing Alcohol and then dab with a Water Painter and more alcohol. Last step, spritz with Wink of Stella.
VIDEO: if you missed it, here is the video for creating the Alcohol Ink Backgrounds.
After it was dry I attached it to Thick Basic White cardstock with and Adhesive Sheet, then die cut it with the Nature’s Thoughts Die. (you could also just cut a rectangle).
Layers:
Base card: Bermuda Bay 4-1/4″ x 11″ top fold
Granny Apple Green layer 3-3/4″ x 5″, stamped with the leaf from Positive Thoughts with Granny Apple Green ink
Scalloped Contours die in Basic White
Top layer: Alcohol ink layer, die cut with the rectangle in the Nature’s Thoughts set (I had to trim the bottom a bit).
