Oh the Turtle Friends bundle is just too cute!! My grandma loved turtles (desert turtles).. she knew where each underground hole was for each turtle on their 3 acre property in Apple Valley, CA. When I was a little girl in the 60’s, I remember “making the rounds” with her in the mornings leaving lettuce and cantaloupe for each turtle! It was fun watching them come out and eat!! So as I made these Turtle Friends cards, I thought of her!!
I think the fun secret to these turtles is stamping them onto the Expressions in Ink designer paper, then punching out the larger ones and fussy cutting the smaller ones. The green patterns in this paper just make it amazing for turtle shells!! Expressions in Ink paper #155464
What do you think? Aren’t they cute stamped on the designer paper!!??
This happy birthday card features my favorite new Stampin’ Up! greeting set called Biggest Wish, stamped with Old Olive and Evening Evergreen ink on a Tailor Made tags die cut.
All of these Stampin’ Up! card making supplies are available in my Stampin’ Up! online store by clicking any of the product photos at the bottom of this post.
I die cut a piece of the Expressions in Ink paper for the background using the Stitched Rectangle dies. The tag is embellished with 2021-2023 In Color Jewels (Evening Evergreen) and some Evening Evergreen ribbon!
Our 2nd super cute Turtle Friends card has a grassy hill die cut using the Basic Borders dies and Expressions in Ink paper. I love how all the little turtles are playing follow the leader up and over the hill. The Thank You greeting is from the new Many Happenings stamp set.
Hope these cards brought a smile to your face today!! They sure did for me, remembering my grandma!!

Very cute card, Patty! I love the turtles. Too bad that SU ran out of stock right after it was released. Why????
It was the most popular paper so it ran out of stock early, and came back in yesterday!! yay!!
Thank you for the Turtle Birthday card ideas. My husband raises turtles as a hobby. He rescued several box turtles from some of the back roads in our area years ago which started his adventure. I have a lot of turtle stamps but didn’t know how to use them but you have given me some new ideas.
Keep up the great work!
Oh how fun!! Thank you for sharing that story!!!
