Whohooo!! Sale-a-Bration is in full swing – again!  Yes, this is part 2 for 2021!!  2 more months of free gifts with your purchases for Sale-a-Bration!! yay!!!  I sat down with a few colors of my Stampin’ Blends markers and decided to color the black and white Beautifully Penned paper!  It’s a free gift choice during Sale-a-Bration!

The Beautifully Penned paper pack has 2 designs that are perfect for coloring in with Stampin’ Blends markers!  I used both of them in my cards today!

After coloring the outline images, I decided to fill in the background with Light Pool Party.  This isn’t necessary but does add a fun artistic punch of color!

Below is the 2nd pattern I colored in with my Stampin’ Blends markers.   As I mentioned in my Sale-a-Bration video, Beautifully Penned really isn’t a true black and white pattern to me, more like charcoal and white?

To complete each card, I selected a color of cardstock for the base (Poppy Parade left, and Pale Papaya right) and a mat color of cardstock for each 3×4 piece of designer paper. Then I added a 1″ x 5-1/2″ strip of the polkadot pattern from this pack as a side accent, ribbon, and a greeting!  Both of the greetings are from the Biggest Wish set, stamped onto Tailor Made Tag dies.

  3. I ordered the Beautifully Penned paper as a Sale-a-Bration item yesterday although I was not particularly excited about that paper. Now I cannot wait to get my hands on it! I absolutely love the card you did with the pool party background. In fact, I have to make a birthday card tonight and am going to try this with the black and white floral I got in my pack of “Pattern Party” DSP. I have so many of your ideas waiting for me – thank you for constantly coming up with fresh and exciting things – always such fun.

  4. Patty,
What a smart idea to use the blending markers to color ribbon to get the color you need but may not have; Brilliant!
Thanks for sharing your ideas. 😊
