Welcome to my blog post today! I hope you will have a few minutes to watch the VIDEO I’ve included at the bottom of this post!! I am sharing my Dollar Tree Christmas Craft finds and how I colored them with Stampin’ UP! Blending Brushes!!! (NOTE: if you are looking for the gold gilded pinecones shown in the video, check back tomorrow – I’ll have all the photos and details).
When I found this adorable little truck in the Dollar Tree, it was just plain wood (see below) but I immediately envisioned a red truck with penguins in the back! Is that weird? Hope not! LOL Do you love it!? I do!!
The Penguin Place Bundle is a quick and easy way to stamp and punch out these cute penguins!
Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes and ink pads are the perfect QUICK solution to coloring these wooden pieces!
I used a Sponge Dauber to color the wheels… wanted a bit more control than the blending brush.
My 2nd Dollar Tree wooden Christmas crafting find is this cute Merry & Bright door decoration! I used Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green ink with Blending Brushes to color it, then splattered it with White Craft ink and added rhinestones! I tied Black Gingham ribbon on it to hang it on the inside of my front door!
Hope you are inspired to transform a Dollar Store find into a fun home decor piece for you or a friend this year! My little red truck with the Penguin Place penguins is going on my mantle!
