Adorable Note Cards with Paper Piecing Technique

Adorable Note Cards with the paper piecing technique and the Driving By Sale-a-Bration stamp set from Stampin' UP!

When I saw Leena Girsa post this idea for paper piecing with the Pattern Party designer paper and the Driving By stamp set, I knew I had to try it and make a set of note cards!!

Paper Piecing can be done in different ways.  I stamped my Driving By VW Bug and Bus images on both Basic White cardstock and Pattern Party printed paper.  I colored the wheels and any other parts of the image I wanted to color, using Stampin’ Blends markers on the white cardstock, then fussy cut the pattern pieces and glued them onto the white.

The adorable hearts and flowers patterns are both in the Pattern Party designer paper pack.  This is available to purchase with your Stampin’ Rewards dollars (host rewards), with any order over $150.

Sale-a-Bration Sunshine & Rainbows paper

Each of my 4 Basic White Note Cards have a 3″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Sunshine & Rainbows designer paper, plus clouds I punched from the same designer paper pack.  I layered a scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched so Sweetly die set, a 2″ circle from the Sunshine & Rainbows paper, and the cute greeting for a super fun card!

I think the card below is my favorite of the 4.  How about you?  It reminds me of “flower power” from the ’60’s and ’70’s and the stickers I put on my school notebooks!

  1. Good morning Patty,
Your cards are so cute.. You can make so many cute cards just by fussy cutting… I especially love the flowers on the car.. It reminds me of my school days .. I had a friend who had a VW van and it was covered with flowers that he painted on it.. lol
