Wisterias hold a special place in my heart. I “inherited” a wisteria when we moved into this house 24 years ago. It’s one of the only remaining original plants in my garden, I’ve planted almost everything else in the garden since then. But the wisteria is gorgeous, and FUN FACT, it blooms every year for our son’s birthday in late March!!
When I saw the Wisteria Wishes bundle in the new Stampin’ UP! catalog, I knew right away it would be on my first order AND I knew exactly what I was going to do…. die cut the flowers and leaves with the gorgeous and colorful Hues of Happiness paper… take a look!!!

Don’t you agree.. this is an amazing tip and creates gorgeous wisteria flowers and leaves?
I wanted a little bit of variation in the color in addition to the shades in the Hues of Happiness paper, so I stamped on a few die cut flowers with the wisteria stamp image in Gorgeous Grape ink, and onto the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink.
Above: I layered the wisteria and leaves onto a white panel die cut with the Rectangle Stitched dies, embossed with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder. I layered that onto a piece of In Color Glimmer paper… it’s gorgeous!
Wisteria Wishes bundle available online #158860
As I shared in my live video yesterday, a tradition for the last 24 years has been to take a photo of Jason in front of the wisteria on his birthday. Most years it is in full bloom for his birthday, some years there are just a few blooms, and other years it’s already done blooming.. guess it depends on the amount of sun, warm weather and spring rain we’ve had before the end of March.
I would love to help you create your wisteria cards with these Stampin’ UP! supplies. Please watch the video below, and feel free to click any of the product photos at the bottom of the post to shop in my online store.
The 2nd card, below, features the stitched rectangle die cut as well, but this time I added a faint wash of Pool Party ink with a Blending Brush behind the flowers. I layered it onto a printed card base from the Tea Boutique cards & envelopes pack.
2 Bonus Projects from the Video
As shown on the live video yesterday (replay below), I die cut the lattice background die from the True Beauty Bundle and used it behind the wisteria. I framed it with the frame left over after die cutting the deckle rectangle die!
The Wisteria Wishes card below, featuring the Orchid Oasis In Color glimmer paper is probably my favorite of all the cards today.. it’s so gorgeous, springy and glimmery!!

I discovered Wisteria in Rome at the Forum. They were growing horizontally hanging off some of the Ruins on the northern side. It was beautiful. It was Mid-March. Beautiful Card.
