Halloween Fun with Glitter Washi Tape

Stampin Up! Bewitching Bundle Halloween card with Glitter Washi Tape and fun witches hat punch by Patty Bennett

I just have to tell you, I think this Witch Hat punch from the Stampin’ Up! Bewitching Bundle is just the CUTEST!!  I can tell you this, I won’t be parting with this one when it retires!!!

Hope you like my Halloween card idea featuring the Glitter Washi Tape and this adorable which hat!

I die cut the Black and White harlequin pattern paper with the die that comes in the Scary Cute Bundle, and added the polkadot pattern behind the opening.  Before putting these 2 layers together, I sponged Parakeet Party ink on the black and white polkadot paper.. very cute!!

Tip!  While adding the washi tape to your card, place your silicone craft sheet below the card, let the tape hang over the edges, then trim off with paper snips, or fold to the back.

Apologies!!

I had a feeling this might happen.. and I’m so sorry… the witch’s hat punch is so popular it is temporarily unavailable.. I blog a few weeks ahead and this punch was available when I was blogging this card, but wouldn’t you know it, now that I’ve shared this adorable card on my blog today, the punch is not in the store.. I do apologize and I hope you can use your imagination and create this card with a different punch or stamped image!

Use the color suggestions from the Glitter Washi Tape, I created this card using green, black, purple and white. It’s a super fun Halloween color combo!  The witch hat is also punched from the Black and White Designs paper from Stampin’ UP!

Oldie but Goodie…. remember the days when we used to add brads to EVERY card we made!?  (ok that was a LONG time ago)… I decided to bring this back and I poked 3 holes with my Take Your Pick tool, then added  3 small round black brads for interest on my stamped tag.

Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself… I thought this was going to be so cute with the 3 black brads, and when I was finished, I realized I could have just used 3 black self-adhesive dots, too. 🙂

  1. Not meant to be negative, but lately what I’ve noticed is Stampin Up has been running “out of stock” on Sale-A-Bration items and now items in catalog. It’s so disappointing to be enticed by a product only to find out it’s no longer available. They need to plan ahead to order enough to meet the demand. I use to love Stampin Up but becoming discouraged. because of the selling out of items. It seems to be happening a lot more often. Perhaps because all the demonstrators buy up before the average customer can purchase, and I can’t meet the requirement of $300 to remain a demonstrator. An uphappy customer is a non return customer, just saying….

    • I certainly understand your frustrations!! I do hope you are also sharing your thoughts with Stampin’ Up!. They need to hear from Customers and demonstrators.
This punch has been available since July 1 to customers (and a month before that to demonstrators) and as we approach Halloween, it seems that there has been an urgency to purchase it. Which makes sense. It was my fault for not publishing my Halloween projects earlier, but I blog so far ahead that it just didn’t fit in earlier.
Sale-a-Bration items are always “while supplies last” because if something sells out during the 2 month period, they don’t have time to place a reorder and get it shipped and in stock. Hope that helps explain.

      • Patty, your explanation was right on target. No one has a crystal ball. You did not do this intentionally nor did SU do this intentionally. Love your blogs. Love your cards. Thank You for all you do.
