Thank you if you joined me live on Friday to watch me create this 5×5 Mini Scrapbook with Halloween pix of our son!! I had a ton of fun creating this live, on the fly with you! My friend Marcee said I was brave to create it live … I’ll admit.. I was a little anxious, but your sweet comments kept me going!
Missed the video on Friday? Watch it below, in this post.
Tips!! Scroll down for all the tips… lots of them today!
I used 5×5 pieces of Stampin’ Up! designer paper from the Celebrate Everything and Rustic Harvest packs, along with the pretty Metallic & Shimmer paper pack.
Each page of my Halloween mini scrapbook is decorated with either photos of Jason as a little guy at Halloween, or stamps and die cut images from the Scary Cute bundle from Stampin’ Up! I hope you’ll enjoy all the details I shared in my video!
Tip! Thanks to Pam Strobel for this amazing idea… color the pumpkin pattern from the Rustic Harvest paper pack with your Stampin’ Blends markers for a gorgeous transformation!! I love it!
Mini Book Instructions:
- Cover: 5-1/4″ x 10-1/2″, folded in 1/2
- Insert page: 5″ x 10″, folded in 1/2
- Place insert page on cover, aligning the fold mark, use hole punch to punch hole at top and bottom
- Tie with ribbon
- Decorate with 5×5 pieces of designer paper
- Watch the Video at the bottom of this post for more info
I also used my Stampin’ Blends markers and a straight edge (an old drafting triangle) to add color to the black and white striped side (it’s the other side of the pumpkin pattern) and THEN added Glitter Washi Tape!! I love this piece!!
Below: Having some fun die cutting and layering pieces from the Scary Cute Bundle.. I used the black glittery paper from the Metallic & Shimmer pack to die cut the cat and haunted mansion.
Metallic & Shimmer Paper with additional color from the Blending Brushes and ink!
Below: although I didn’t end up using the altered piece, I did demo this idea in my video.. grab any combo of Stampin’ Blends markers and create a whole new plaid pattern!
