I created birthday cards to send with the Birthday Club postcards I mailed out over the weekend. The Perfectly Penciled designer paper from Stampin’ UP! just begs to be colored, and since I had dozens of cards to make, I thought about this quick and easy technique, coloring with sponge daubers and ink pads! The leaves were colored with Stampin’ Blends markers.
There are several patterns in the Perfectly Penciled designer series paper pack and I used over half of them creating these handmade cards.
The Sprig punch and scraps from my Hues of Happiness designer paper were used for the sprigs behind the greeting.
I did try coloring the tiny buds with the sponge daubers.. but found the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend marker was much easier.
The base cards are from the limited time offer “Good Things Cards & Envelopes Pack” available to Paper Pumpkin subscribers. If they are sold out by the time you read this, you can certainly use a regular Basic Gray card base.
