Fancy Fold Valentine Card Ideas:
As I mentioned on my video (above), I am taking these samples and all the card making supplies to the office where my husband and son work, so that the engineers can make a card for their sweetheart for Valentine’s Day!
Above/Below: this one is my personal favorite.. I used the Hues of Happiness paper and layered hearts from the Country Gingham paper and Textured Shimmer Paper!
The greeting is a 1/2″ wide strip, punched with the Happy Labels pick a punch, stamped with a greeting from the Country Bouquet set.
To make this Fancy Fold (which is super easy to create), scroll down for cutting and scoring dimensions or watch the video above.
It’s so fun to decorate the inside just a little bit.. just to add a little flair and color!
Below: my first version was the Fresh Freesia Dandy Designs card, thinking that this pattern would appeal to the engineers.. but then I thought, well, maybe they’ll go for flowers because their sweetheart likes flowers? … we’ll see! It will be interesting to see which patterns are their favorites! The Valentine greeting is in the Share a Milkshake set. All little hearts are from a retired punch – to make it easy for the guys – but you could easily use dies or any other smaller heart punch.
How to make these cards:
Cutting and Scoring dimensions are below in this post. These fancy fold cards are almost too easy and you can make them for any occasion and with any double sided designer paper!
Please also watch the video above for all the tips and step by step instructions!
I finished off each card with the Iridescent Pearls.
Above: the 4 different design suggestions I’ll be taking to the office.
Below: Country Floral Lane paper (left) and Favored Flowers paper (right). Be sure to watch the video to see how I finished off the card on the left!
Although difficult to photograph, I’ve used the gorgeous Fine Shimmer paper in gold and Freesia on these cards for the hearts and the some of the strips inside. See it here online.. it’s beautiful!
Above & Below: see the pretty Freesia Fine Shimmer paper? I mentioned it above.. it’s SO pretty in person!
Each card also has a white Scalloped Contour panel inside for writing a Valentine message.

What do you think? Do you think they’ll like this design? I hope so!
