Are you like me? Do you love to keep a “good box”?
I’m so guilty.. I love to keep a little stack (ok maybe more than that) of sweet little gift boxes.. because you know, someday, you are going to want to use it.. right? 🙂
I couldn’t toss this sweet little blue box from Park Lane, so covered it with pieces of Coastal Cabana designer paper from Stampin’ Up! and it becomes the perfect recycled gift box to give to someone with a gift card, piece of jewelry or other small gift!
Each box will be different so no need to give you measurements, but I just used a small 6″ ruler to measure each surface of the box, then cut the paper to size. I found that Seal+ seemed to work perfectly as my adhesive for this recycled gift box project. I thought these 2 Coastal Cabana patterns from the Brights 6×6 paper stack looked cute together!
The tag is a Basic White Tailor Made tag die with 2 patterns of the Coastal Cabana patterned paper, then Happy Birthday Stamped in black. I’ve used both the Lost Lagoon ribbon and the black and white gingham ribbon on my project, and finished off with Tinsel gems in Lost Lagoon from the 3 pack. (All Stampin’ UP! supplies available in my online store – click any of the products photos below to shop online!)
At the time I’m creating this blog post (I blog days or weeks ahead) the Brights DSP stack is on low inventory status. There are also 5 other 6×6 paper stacks available with the same patterns in all the other Stampin Up! colors, so you can use any patterns and colors that work for you. I’ll go ahead and include all of the packs below.

I love this idea! Several years ago Safelight was working in our garage on my windshield. The young tech looked around the garage and said, “People of your generation save boxes. You think you’ll need them, but you won’t.” We ended up recycling the boxes for a tv and stereo system we no longer owned.🤣
Reusing the small, sturdy gift boxes is a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Yes! I love a good little box as well! I’ve covered cigar boxes, PP BOXES etc! It puts a smile on my face!
Lovely ideas! I found them very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
