Check out this super cute idea for cute floral cards!!! Use the ice cream cone die from the Share a Milkshake bundle to create a paper wrapper for your flowers!
Isn’t that just too cute!? Thanks to everyone who enjoyed that idea during my weekly video.. it was fun to share that with you!
The 2 stamp sets I used for the flowers are Amazing Year and Full of Love.. both in the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog, and available in my online store by clicking any of the product photos at the bottom of this post.
I love the combo of yellow and blue, and I got these 2 designer paper prints from the In Color 6×6 stack and the Regency Park designer paper pack. The Orchid Oasis polkadot pattern is die cut with the Scalloped Contours dies, and the yellow Regency Park piece is die cut with the new Radiating Stitches dies.
After stamping the flower image with Memento Black ink, I colored them with Stampin’ blends markers. Then I fussy cut the flowers with my paper snips and slipped them into the folded “ice cream cone” from the Share a Milkshake dies!
Above: the 2 stamp sets: Amazing Year and Full of Love.. both in the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog, and available in my online store by clicking any of the product photos at the bottom of this post.
Reminder, you can add additional texture on the “paper wrappers” by putting them through your embossing machine with an embossing folder! I used the crosshatch folder from the 3D Basics folders.
Above: I mixed Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers and I thought this piece of floral paper from the Regency Park pack was a great accent. I used my Blending Brush to add a little Pool Party ink behind the paper “cone” and accented that with the Stitched Rectangle Balmy Blue layer!
Below: After coloring the floral stamped image, I used the Poppy Parade marker to color some of the Resin flowers, then added them to the bouquet.. I think they look amazing!
What do you think?? I think these 2 cards might be in my top 10 favorite cards in the last year!!
BONUS FLORAL CARDS:
These are the extra cards I made after the video … hope you enjoy the bonus ideas!
Above: Sorry that the polka dot embossing folder from the 3D Basics embossing folder set has temporarily sold out… but you’ll be able to get that again in May. Thankful that Stampin’ UP! decided to restock this popular Online Exclusive product!!
Below: I used my favorite embossing folder Pretty Flowers, as a layer behind the cone of flowers. I added a touch of Flirty Flamingo ink with a Blending Brush behind the floral bouquet.

Beautiful cards! Using the ice cream cone die for the paper wrap doubles the uses for the die! Great idea! Does the marker dry quickly when you use it on embellishments? How long should you wait before using it? Thanks for sharing these great ideas!
Yes, the marker dries quickly since it’s alcohol based. I like to let it dry a moment and add a 2nd layer of color.
One is cuter than the next! Very creative idea👍
So glad you enjoyed them!!
What is the small black round item on the left side of the tag?
It’s part of the stamp.. it’s like the knot that is tying the tag on.. you can see it in the 4th photo down on this post, or, on the stamp set cover.
Beautiful cards Patty, thanks for sharing, love the floral wrap idea!
