Did you enjoy the coloring tips I shared yesterday on my live video to create these beautiful berries? If you missed it, please watch the replay at the bottom of this blog post!
I used the Stampin’ Up! Berry Harvest background stamp in 2 ways on my card today, both as a background and also stamped, colored and fussy cut with my paper snips to create a focal point on the card.
Stampin’ Blends Tips:
- don’t be afraid to mix and match several colors. Coloring with just one color is fine, but adding other colors creates depth and interest.

Do you remember when sponging the edges of our cardstock was so popular that I don’t know if we even made a single project without doing that? I seem to have gotten away from that, and I decided to use my Blending Brush for a soft inked colored edge on this background. I think it turned out beautiful!!
Below: adding a strip of Berry Burst Soft Shimmer paper to the card, a skinny layer of black cardstock, and some Black and White Gingham ribbon just really made it all pop!
What did you think about the tip for making the ombre tag stamped with hello? I think it’s beautiful!! (if you didn’t watch the video, the key is using your Stampin’ Blends on a white die cut!)
Did anyone happen to count how many tips were in the video below!? I feel like I kept saying, “oh wait, here’s another tip I wanted to share”!! 🙂

Love your simple tips for using blends. I never noticed that background stamp before. I would love to see more tutorials using background stamps.
