Sometimes I just forget about my background stamps. But I pulled the Sketched Plaid background stamp off my shelf and used it in Azure Afternoon ink on Azure Afternoon cardstock for the background of my Hey Chuck card!
I just love that pretty background, and of course once you own the stamp, you can create any color you’d like!!
During the Coloring Masterclass with Barry & Jay, Jay showed the idea to color the Hey Chuck chicken with blue and green and I just had to try it.. isn’t he just too funny??

GReat background stamp! These cards look so pretty. I don’t use background stamps often as I have trouble getting an even image. Would using the Stamparatus help, or is there another trick/tip?
Yes, you could use that or just the large block as I did here. You can also place the stamp rubber side up, place your cardstock on top and rub from the back.
I love your blue and green Chuck. very cute
Thank you Michele!!
The blue makes him look a little chilly, especially in his underwear. 🤣 it’s just what I need, some cool weather in the middle of our three digit sweltering week! I have had my air conditioning on since Sunday. I have now officially had my air conditioning running more than twice as long as it has run all summer. you do such amazing cards, I love them. looking forward to the holiday soiree.
He sure does!! How funny!! 🙂
Stay cool, hope you get some relief soon!!
