Hello friends!! Hope you enjoy this bold, colorful card today!! I used 2 patterns of paper from the Pattern Party DSP pack and the Hand-Penned Petals floral image colored with Stampin’ Blends markers!
Optional but so pretty:
Line up the pretty flowers design from the Pattern Party designer paper pack with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and emboss the image!
Before and After:
This paper is beautiful right out of the pack, or, extra amazing when embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder!
Find the Pattern Party designer paper pack in the hostess rewards section in the Stampin’ Up! catalog or online store. You can purchase this pack of 48 sheets when your order is $150 or more.. simply spend your free Stampin’ Rewards on this paper! See it HERE.
Below: I colored the Hand-Penned Petals image with these Stampin’ Blends colors: Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Just Jade.
You can either fussy cut the images, or use the dies in the coordinating Penned Flowers dies like I did below. Buy the Bundle and Save! Hand-Penned Petals Bundle is a 10% savings off the price of buying the stamp set and dies separately! Order #155492!
The scallop die is also in this bundle, and I die cut Basic Black cardstock to accent the black gingham pattern strip of paper. Hello is from the Biggest Wish set and is stamped onto a Tailor Made Tags Dies. A Black twine bow finishes the card.

Love this card!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful colour combo and the tip about the dsp and pretty flowers ef!! We are in a heat wave so I will enjoy casing this project when it cools down. Happy anniversary kind regards Shirley
Good evening Patty,
I love your card and I think it’s really neat how the DSP goes with the EF… SU gets some pretty clever ideas… Thanks for sharing ….
Really cool tip, Patty. I wasn’t aware of the possibility to line up the embossing folder with the DSP!!
Really beautiful I am currently casing this project. I do have a question I noticed that the photo of the colored hand penned petals displays two images. The front of the card has the larger petal image did you use the smaller one for the inside layer.
I used the other one on another card.. I haven’t blogged it yet though 🙂
Oh, I actually did blog that other one… here it is https://pattystamps.com/2021/06/hand-penned-hello-card.html
Really cute. I didn’t know the embossing folder matched & surprise, I had both!!
I absolutely love the tip about the Embossing Folder matching up with the DSP! Any tip for getting more than three 4 x 5-1/4 pieces cut out of one sheet that line up with the DSP correctly? I’ve been sitting here going cross-eyed turning the card stock and die to align them trying to maximize how many I can get from one sheet. Thanks SO much for your continued inspiration!
Hi Lois,
Thanks for commenting.. I only made that 1 card so far with this DSP and folder but I did think at first glance you could do 4 out of that sheet.. I’ll have to go back and look again.
