  1. Definitely cherry cobbler with shaded spruce. I think because to me they are more traditional shades of the Christmas colors that go together so well.

  5. I am usually very traditional when it comes to Christmas colors, but in this case I prefer the Real Red and Granny Apple Green. They are both bright and seem to make things “happy” and fun. I guess it depends on what kind of Christmas card you are making.

  8. I think it depends on the stamp set/bundle you are using. Traditional designs with cherry cobbler/ shaded spruce. More modern designs like merry bold and bright are fabulous with real red/granny Apple green

    I use Real Red & Granny Apple Green for Whimsical Cards.
    And Blues with Silver for Snowflake cards or Winter Scenes.

  19. Hi Patty- when it comes to Christmas, I’m a traditionalist. Therefore I prefer the Cherry Cobbler/Shaded Spruce combo over the more modern set of Real Red and Granny Apple. Green.

  26. It would totally depend on what season the card is for. If for Christmas the Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce, however, if the card I am making is for a different season say fall or spring I would use the real red – granny apple green combination.

If I have to pick one of these combinations, I would lean towards Real Red and Granny Apple Green, but in reality, it would be more like Cherry Cobbler and Granny Apple Green. Something about the deep, dark red and the vibrant green makes me happy.

  32. When it comes to Christmas colors I stick with the more traditional colors and prefer Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. They make everything look more regal and also remind me of wonderful Christmases of the past.

  35. I prefer Cherry Cobbler with Shaded Spruce!! BUT……….there is a place for Real Red & Granny Apple Green……for Holiday tags or gift bags. But, for Holiday cards I prefer the more traditional colors. Thanks for the chance to win a wonderful gift.

    Now that is a really good question. The real red and apple green is certainly more on trend, but the cherry cobbler and shaded spruce are more traditional. If you vote for trends, then I would have to say the real red and apple green. However, one must also consider the depth of colors that’s becoming dominant in decorating trends within the last 18 months with the deep jewel tones and rich greens. But you asked my preference, and I will vote for he cherry cobbler and shaded spruce.

    I’d use Real Red/Granny Apple Green for a lively or lighthearted themed card, and Cherry Cobbler/Shaded Spruce for a more vintage look.

    You really can’t go wrong with either combination!!

    Real Red & Granny Apple Green seem more playful together. Cherry Cobbler & Shaded Spruce are more traditional, and could be used with a more serious sentiment.

    Real red is Christmas -warm and cheery.
    Real red is bold when worn – can make one look brighter.
    Granny apple green is brighter and complimentary to the real red warmth -therefore the combination is pleasing to the eye.

    Actually, I like both, but I normally use the Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce
    as I very traditional girl. I am 85 and those were the colors we used way
    back then. : D
