I wanted to take you back in time to one of my favorite – easy – backgrounds for card making…. Ink Blending just a strip of color! All you need is a strip of color and then stamp an image on top.
If you are like me, it will take every ounce of your strength NOT to color in the image… but trust me.. this card design is gorgeous just like this!
Stamping the Magnolia Mood images onto a pink color palette turned out gorgeous.. I used Bubble Bath, Pretty In Pink & Petunia Pop (both coming 5-1-24) as New In Colors!

If you didn’t join me live yesterday, please watch the free video at the bottom of this post!
I also thought that a peachy yellow background would be lovely with the Magnolia. This background features Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie (coming 5-1-24) and Daffodil Delight ink.
Just because I had to try “Patty Colors” and a rose, I used the Stippled Rose stamp image on top of Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade! The greeting is from the Kindest Expressions stamp set (all supplies are available by clicking the product photos at the bottom of this post).

I watching the replay. Those are beautiful cards.
Thanks for the blending tips of color I copied them down. I sent you a note yesterday about the trusty tool stampin up set. I really like the tool box card you made with all the tools coming out of the drawers. I need to know how you cut and when you cut the drawers to insert the tools. I looked for the tutorial on your blog but could not find it. Thanks again.
So glad you are enjoying my projects! Sorry I don’t have an email from you about trusty tools. I just cut that DSP in strips and kept layering them on top of each other and tucking the tools inside each layer. Have fun with it!
Checking I’m still on your catalogue list.
Thanks
Shann
I just made 4 of these using similar colors with the Detailed Dogwood stamp. Love the effect! Thanks for the inspiration, Patty. I love all the tips, designs and enthusiasm on your videos!!
