Easy Card with Analogous Colors and DSP

Color Theory with Analogous colors and Stampin' Up! patterned paper by Patty Bennett

Last month we chatted about Color Theory and Monochromatic cards and color combos.  This month we are reviewing Analogous color combos.  I think of Analogous color combos as Monochromatic cards on steroids.  Instead of 1 or 2 colors, try out 3, 4 or 5 colors within the Analogous range of colors.

Today I created the 4 analogous colors by using strips of patterned paper from Stampin’ UP!.  These colors are found in the 2023-2025 In Color Stack, the 2024-2026 In Color Stack and the Brights Color stack.  You can purchase all of these products in my online store by clicking on any of the product thumbnails at the bottom of this post.

Need more info about Analogous colors?  WATCH THIS portion of my video.

The card is a thick Basic White cardstock base (4-1/4″ x 11″ folded in half), and the strips are each 1-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.

The pretty stamped flower is from the Flowers of Beauty set, stamped in Peach Pie. It’s stamped on a white die cut from the Everyday Details dies and layered onto a Peach Pie Spotlight on Nature die cut.  Peach Pie ribbon and Resin dots finish off the card.
