No stamping with the Frosted Forest Online Exclusive. Just Ink blending and watercoloring with the masks. Cards by Patty Bennett

Thank you for joining me last Friday for my free weekly live crafting session  as I shared tips and card making ideas with you featuring the brand new Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest Bundle.  This bundle is part of the July 2024 Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive release!  After creating the cards using the stamps, dies and masks, I decided to try out “no stamping” and simply use the masks and ink blending… THEN I decided to try out some watercoloring techniques!!

As you can see below, you can also create stunning handmade cards or projects by using the masks and blending brushes without the stamps!

Above & Below:  using the masks with blending brushes and ink but no outline stamping.  And don’t miss this tip… I used my Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends markers to add tree trunks to the pine trees.. I think they turned out amazing!!  (it’s on the video!)

To see the other version with stamping first, see THIS POST.

No stamping / watercolor version…

Step 1:  Use the Frosted Forest Masks and Blending Brushes with ink of your choice on Watercolor paper. (I used Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green)

Step 2:  place the watercolor paper on a rag or surface that you don’t mind getting wet, and spray with water a few times.   Don’t over do it… but watch as the greens blend!! So pretty!

  1. Loved all the different ways to do the trees and the grass. I am glad that I purchased the bundle. Years ago I took a class in watercolor bold and free. Your Dad’s tip about spritzing the back of the watercolor paper was great. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us.
