Remember the 5 different card designs I shared with you last week featuring the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Autumn paper? (missed it? click here). After I was done, I had LOTS of 1/2″ and 3/4″ left over strips, so, I made a handful of these chevron cards!
Above and below: There is no right or wrong way to make these, but I found it easiest to apply the Tombo Liquid Glue direct to my 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel and lay the strips down. You can of course put glue onto each strip, too.
I grouped the strips into similar color groupings to decide which cards would have which patterns.
Above & Below: front and inside of this fall birthday card, featuring Crushed Curry cardstock, and 3 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots for accents.
The Happy Birthday stamp I used on all of these cards is from the Tune In Stamp set, and stamped onto a white die cut rectangle from the Gone Fishing Dies.

Beautiful cards! Thanks for sharing the ideas and specific “how to’s”. I love the idea of using all of the scraps in such a pretty way.
So glad you enjoyed it.. thank you!
Great idea!! I don’t like to waste these usable strips of paper!
I think I need to start a “1 inch strip bin”. 😉
What a great idea! I appreciate frugal crafting to use up leftovers. Love the “artsy” 6×6 panels and hope SU continues those going forward. Thanks for sharing your amazing ideas Patty!
So glad you enjoyed them!!
Wonderful idea Patty !!!
Good for any DSP that you want!!! Love it 💕💕#2
thank you!! So glad you liked them!!
Awesomeness on all. It is the perfect idea for some get well cards I need to make. I just love all these scenery papers!
Yes, the scenery paper would be perfect!
Love the use of leftover strips. How do you decide where your starting point will be? I never seem to be able to come out evenly with my strips. Thanks for your feedback…Vicki
Actually, each card is slightly different.. so I’m not sure I ended up deciding on the perfect spot to start.. I was just playing 🙂
For cards done with a ‘triangle’ shape, like Patty’s cards, start by positioning your bottom strips, then build upwards. Try to dry-position the strips before starting.
Excellent way to use up scraps!! Beautiful cards, Patty!
Patty these are all lovely cards, my order will be here Wed, with the gorgeous paper.
Love all your cards you have made, thank you for sharing.
Absolutely loverly designs. I have used strips vertical but never the V shape and they were so eye catching. Thanks for sharing
