I had so much fun sharing this amazing tip with you during our weekly live video yesterday! If you have ever struggled with adding glue to a delicate or intricate die cut or ephemera piece, this tip will make you so happy!
Last weekend I saw a video that showed this tip, and I’ve searched for it (it’s no longer in my history) and I’m sorry I cannot find the video I saw on Youtube, but, whoever you are, thank you for this tip. I ordered these Silicone brushes and immediately tried it out.. even my husband was impressed!! He told me in wood working they use these brushes for spreading glue on wood! who knew?
I loved decorating the new large and small bags from the Gift Bag Combo Pack with gold foil paper, designer paper and the Joyful Sayings gold words. The silicone brush glue tip was perfect for adding the words!
If you didn’t watch the video, in a nutshell, you cut off most of the bristles of the silicone brush, then put glue on your silicone mat, and dab the brush in the glue. Add the glue “dots” on the brush tip to the back of the words, and voila.. easy to adhere to your project and no extra glue all over!! If that didn’t make sense.. check out the video replay below.
Now, if you are die cutting your own words or intricate images, I recommend the Adhesive Sheets, but, in this case, the words come precut on the Ephemera Sheets, so I needed a better solution than what I had been trying.

You can even get really creative and use the Happy for a birthday tag!! I combined a gold foiled edge tag from the Tags for the Season ephemera pack with stamps from the Country Birdhouse stamp set! The cute little gifties are from the Joyful Images ephemera pack.

Great tip. I am going to try this. I have been using a tooth pick to put as little glue as possible on my die cuts. That does get glue on the front of the die cut and looks a bit messy. Thanks!
