Wrapping up our Color Theory series!
Today, I am sharing the wrap up of my Color Theory series with you!! Yesterday during the live video, we recapped the first 3 categories: Monochromatic, Complimentary, and Analogous color combos.
Until last weekend, I was actually afraid to tackle the 4th category: Triadic color combos… but.. as you’ll see in the video, I got over that fear and created these 2 cards!!
Let’s take a look at these Triadic color combos! The Friends of the Ocean paper actually contains a triadic color combo!! So I used it for my card!

Your video was very helpful! Thank you.
Thank you Susan!!
Hello Patty!
I LOVE this “Color Wheel/Coach” series! So very helpful n’ truly encouraging to me to USE THE WHEEL so much more! 👏 Your designs are lovely and your samples so very helpful! I also like that you aren’t “afraid” to go outside the box or color guide to use what’s pleasing to your eye! THAT’S CREATIVITY in my mind! 💕 ONE QUESTION: On the Wheel for purchase, the outer edge has a CS color so is that meant to be a guide for a “color base and/or layer” guide??? That’s my thinking but ??? I don’t recall you mentioning that in your video! Hoping to hear from you! Sincere thanks and SMILES to you for all you do, and have done over the years, for the Stamping Community! 😉👏💕
I thought I explained those.. sorry.. when you are looking for a red-orange, or a blue-green, etc., you’ll find those SU colors within that “piece of the pie”. Hope that makes sense.
Great video with plenty of examples! Thank you. For scrapbooking, I was always taught not to use more than 3 non monochromatic colors on one page. Ta da…Triadic. I suppose the same applies for card making!
So glad you found it helpful!! thanks for watching!
