Yesterday, during my weekly live crafting video, I shared the amazing new wide format Stampin’ UP! Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape, and beautiful floral cards featuring the Irresistible Designs specialty paper with ink blending!

I’ve included the replay for you at the bottom of this post if you missed it live yesterday!

A hand holds a handmade greeting card with “birthday wishes” in purple script on a white circle. The card features colorful watercolor flowers and leaves, with a purple border and embossed floral background. Another similar card with “time to celebrate!” is in the background. You can use the pinky / purple flowers or the coral / flamingo flowers on separate Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape Cards as I have done here, or, you can mix and match as much as you wish!

Adding color to the Irresistible Designs specialty paper with a Blending Brush and Stampin’ UP! ink is a great way to create custom backgrounds for your handmade cards! You may remember I used this paper for my Coneflower Cards.

Two handmade greeting cards with floral designs sit on a wood surface. Both have pink, white, and green flowers with leaves, a soft pink floral background, and sentiment banners: "You're Simply Incredible" and "Time to Celebrate!" White sequins accent each card. I added the Washi Tape sections to my white cardstock (3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ minimum size) and then used the coordinating Extraordinary Flora die to die cut all the floral and greenery pieces at once. I found separating them into little dishes was helpful when creating my cards with lots of layers of pretty florals.

Beautiful Stampin’ Up! colors I used:

A stack of Stampin’ Up! ink pads in various colors is next to a holder with handmade washi tape greeting cards, including a pink card with a floral design. The ink pads are labeled with colors such as Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

To design these cards, I found it easiest to cluster the florals around a circle or other die cut or punched image. I added greetings to each card, most were from the More Messages bundle.

A hand holds a pink greeting card with white embossed floral patterns, a green-and-white circle, watercolor flowers, and leaves. A white oval with “forever friends” in script font is at the center. Selecting Embellishments

The fun part of finishing off each card for me is selecting the embellishments. When in doubt, these Holographic Resin Dots or the Strawberry Slush gems are really a great match for these Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape Cards.
