Need a sweet and simple card for a friend, loved one or fellow crafter? Here is a super simple formula to make a sweet square handmade heart card:
- Thick Basic White cardstock base: 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″, score and fold in 1/2
- Patterned paper layer 4″ x 4″ (I used the cute polka dot pattern from the Stampin’ Up! Celebratory Sips designer paper pack for the card above)
- Die cut a heart from the Hearts of Elegance dies on SALE on the LAST CHANCE LIST
- Stamp and punch the images from the Sweet Jar bundle
- Add a greeting from the Blooming Phrases stamp set
- Finish with 3 Strawberry Slush pearls (all supplies available by clicking the product photos at the bottom of todays post)
Frequently Asked Question when I share square cards: do you make a square envelope? You certainly can, but I use the standard A2 Stampin’ UP! medium envelope. The US post office charges extra to mail square envelopes, so I just use the envelopes I already have for 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ cards.

Sweet Square Handmade Heart Cards option:

A difference from the Anniversary card above is that this card features a 4×4 square of Flower Garden Foils paper instead of the polka dot pattern, and I used a generic greeting from the Notes & Totes stamp set.

More fun Sweet Jar Cards:
- Adorable Sweet Jar heart card
- Square birthday cards with Sweet Jar Bundle
The jar and lid may look like they were stamped in black ink, but I used Secret Sea, a new In Color for 2025-2027.
