Strip Cards with Snowflakes: video tutorial

Use left over strips for Card Making Fun

On Friday, during our weekly live crafting video I shared these fun handmade cards with the left over strips of designer paper featuring the beautiful Snowy Delight Snowflakes! I hope you enjoyed the video – if you missed it, check out the replay below in this post.

A hand holds a festive greeting card decorated with patterned strips featuring winter trees, snowflakes, and green foliage. A large silver snowflake with blue gems and a round sentiment at the center reads: “If kisses were snowflakes, I’d send you a blizzard.”. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

I loved combining all different patterns from left over strips of Stampin’ UP! designer paper to make beautiful card fronts! I covered a 5-1/4″ x 12″ piece of White Willow 12×12 carsdstock with Seal adhesive, then started adding strips, both cut and torn strips to cover the whole piece. Then I cut it at 4″ and 8″ to create 3 cardfront size panels.

Stacks and strips of patterned paper with winter and holiday designs—snowflakes, holly, birds, and trees—are spread over a cutting mat. The papers are arranged in horizontal layers, showing various colorful and festive patterns. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

The stamped and die cut snowflakes I shared in the video are from the Snowy Delights bundle. It is fabulous! I die cut the snowflakes with Misty Moonlight Two Tone paper, Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper and Flower Garden Foils (all available in my online Stampin’ Up! store.. just click the product images at the bottom of this post to shop anytime!).

Large and small paper snowflakes in shades of blue and white are spread on a cutting mat. Stacking dies and cutting tools are visible. The snowflakes have intricate, detailed patterns. A watermark reads, “Patty Bennett pattystamps.com.”. To read more, visit Patty Stamps (pattystamps.com)

Floral Charm strip cards

After making lots of wintery theme strip cards, I used left over strips I had from the Floral Charm designer paper.

Several rectangular panels made of patterned paper strips are arranged on a crafting mat. The strips feature various floral, leafy, and textured designs in pink, purple, green, orange, and white tones. "Patty Bennett PATTYSTAMPS.COM" is visible on the lower right.
