I was thinking about the California Poppies here in our area when I selected my Stampin’ Blends Color Combo for these slimline cards featuring the new Flowers Fair stamp. Instead of using it on a standard size card front, I stamped it twice side by side on a Basic White cardstock strip to make a Slimline Card (dimensions below).
Please enjoy these Stampin’ Blends marker color combos I suggested for the Stampin’ Up! Flowers Fair stamp during my weekly live crafting video last week! Reminder: Stampin’ Up! suggests using Basic White cardstock and a Memento Black ink pad for stamping!
Slimline Card dimensions:
- For the red & white card: 7-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Real Red card base, score at 3-3/4″ and fold in 1/2. Cut a 3-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ Basic White cardstock piece for the front layer (to stamp).
- For Balmy Blue background card: Thick Basic White, cut at 7-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score and fold in half at 3-3/4″. Real Red layer: 3-1/2″ x 8-1/4″. Basic White layer: 3-1/4″ x 8″, stamp and trim around tops of flowers.
- Use a business size envelope (#10)
Here are the 2 color combos I used for the slimline cards featured above!

Same color combo, but color between the flowers with Balmy Blue, and trim above the flowers to layer onto the Balmy Blue cardstock layer.

I hope you enjoyed the video tutorial on March 6th, featuring the new Stampin’ Up! Flowers Fair stamp and my Stampin’ Blends marker tips!
I really loved this idea for trimming around the tops of the stamped flowers, coloring between the flowers, and adding it to colored cardstock! The blues and yellows are so pretty together!
