Faux Tile Technique with a NEW stamp!

I came across one of my older videos the other day, for the Faux Tile technique, and I thought, hmmm I should try this again. I thought the Inked Floret image would be perfect and I’m glad I tried it! I love how these cards turned out! (I’ve got the replay link for you below).

This technique is super simple. To create Faux Tile, just use your Simply Scored board and stylus and score at every 1/2″ or every 1″ each way, then stamp over the depressed score lines! DO NOT press too hard when you stamp.. you want the white “grout” lines to show.

  1. Lots of great tips in this post. Especially like the tip for blending ink onto white background of sentiments. This would work great for stamped sentiments too. Really help to make them stand out. Like the highland heather the best. Thanks!!

  2. Hello Patty, I like the technique of Faux tiling, the blue and red colors are my favorite 👍🏻😃❤️ I just tried this technique with my cutter but the rendering on the markings does not do the same as your cards, I will try again 😉 Thanks for this sharing, good day, Friends and kisses

  5. Patty, I love all of your tile cards. Blue is my favorite color, but I’m really liking the Strawberry Slush card too. I have kind of a strange question about our SU catalogs. Next month, August, will be my 26th anniversary as a demonstrator. As you can imagine, I have a lot of catalogs. I have all my Stampin’Success magazines we use to get each month plus 26 years of annual, mini and sale-a-bration catalogs. My question is, do you keep All your catalogs and the Stampin’ Success mag? If not, do you trash them or give them to someone? Thanks so much for your help and time. Tammie from Florida

    • I have kept one of each of my 36 years of catalog/minis, etc., and my old Stampin’ Success magazines, just because I am nostalgic and love paper.. but if you don’t want to keep them, maybe offer them to a preschool or scout group if they do any type of collage art projects. You could probably also use them for making your own envelopes! Happy 26 years!!
